In case this is the first time you read about Reiki let me explain that Reiki is all about sending Universal Energy for healing purposes. Reiki can be sent to your self or any other living being.

You can read about Reiki and what it is in my first article of this series. You can read about the Five Principles of Reiki that is the precepts on which the entire Reiki System is based. Also, after you read this article do not forget to read Part 1 of Reiki Symbols where CHO-KU-RAY and SEI HEI KI, two of the most important Reiki symbols, were covered.

HON SHA ZE SHO NEN

(pronounced: Hanh-shah-zay-show-nen)

This Reiki symbol is used to send energy at Distance. Sometimes It is not possible to have the person who we want to send Reiki near us. Reiki, Universal Life Energy, can be sent at distance for healing purposes. This is when you use HON SHA ZE SHO NEN to help you focus on sending energy to a person who is not there with you.

TAM-A-RA-SHA

(pronounced: Tam-ara-sha)

This is the Reiki symbol for Balance. It balances all the recipient body’s energy. It unblocks energy blocks that may be causing problems to someone’s health. It helps energy flow and unblocks the chakras of the body. It is said that this symbol can be used to alleviate pain in certain places of the body. By placing the Reiki practitioners hands over the painful place of the body and drawing this symbol with the hands the pain disappears

DAI KO MYO

(pronounced: dye-ko-me-o)

This is the symbol of a Reiki Master. It is the most powerful Reiki Symbol and it can only used by Reiki Masters (those who have trained and qualified to be Masters in Reiki). This DAI KO MYO Reiki symbol is used to heal the soul of a person. It acts on the aura of the person and it heals the root cause of many diseases making symptoms disappear

These symbols (HON SHA ZE SHO NEN, TAM-A-RA-SHA, DAI KO MYO) along with the CHO-KU-RAY and SEI HEI KI reiki symbols, represent the sacred symbols of Reiki. They are used to heal yourself or others. Reiki is in essence very simple. It is all about sending Universal Life Energy to others to heal and balance our internal energy so we can have a better quality of life.
