Hummus is a delicious way to add protein and other nutrients to your diet. You can serve this nutritious food in various ways. One traditional way would be to spread it on the inside of a pita, which is a pocket-shaped bread traditional to the middle east. The pita can then be filled with salad vegetables and either strips of meat or falafel balls.

Hummus makes a delicious dip for vegetables, such as carrots, peppers, or cucumbers. It can also be used as a dip or spread for crackers or breads.

One original way to use hummus is to coat one side of a soft tortilla with hummus and make a wrap by adding salad and rolling the tortilla into a cylinder. These can be secured with toothpicks, cut in half, and placed vertically for visual appeal.
