Cellulite

When the weather get warm do you get excited, or do you run for cover because of butt dimples caused by cellulite? Cellulite is very common in women, and nearly all women who have it want rid of it. What is the best method for losing the cellulite? With so many different solutions out there it can be hard to decide which direction to go. Creams and lotions are mostly hype. Then there are all those expensive laser and surgical procedures floating around out there. You don’t need to spend a ton of money to get rid of butt dimples due to cellulite. Instead try exercise!

Cardiovascular Exercise

Cardio is the key to reducing fat associated with cellulite. Cellulite is nothing more than fat, and cardiovascular exercise can be the key to burning those extra calories that have been stored as fat. Try a cardiovascular activity that works the legs, like walking, running, or stair climbing. Aim for an hour a day, varying the intensity level throughout the workout for maximum calorie burn. Walking or running up and down hills will accomplish this. Do an hour’s worth of cardio at least 4 days a week. If you are a beginner, start with 30 minutes and work your way up.

Pilates

Pilates combines toning and stretching, and is considered to be a great remedy for cellulite. Pilates is known to assist the reshaping of fascia, a connective tissue that surrounds the muscles of the butt and thighs. Thigh and butt dimples are smoothed out when the fascia is stretched through pilates movements. Pilates is a great all around muscle toning workout, and since it has the extra benefit of smoothing cellulite, it might just be time to give it a try.

Weight Loss

If you have a lot of extra weight on your hips and thighs, you’ll need to drop the pounds before you see a big reduction in cellulite. Cellulite is fat, so it makes sense that losing fat will effectively reduce cellulite. This is another good reason to exercise. Combining muscle building moves that increase metabolism and cardiovascular exercise to burn more calories is a great plan for losing weight along with a healthy diet. So if you’re on the quest to lose those butt dimples, rest assured. You can lose them and gain a healthy lifestyle with exercise.
