Essential Cinnabon Nutrition Facts: Rolls and Beverages
Knowing what you eat can be just as important as eating the right things. The following Cinnabon nutrition facts can help you out on both counts.
Cinnabon’s Menu: An Overview
Cinnabon began in Seattle in 1985 with a single menu item: the classic cinnamon roll (made with Makara Cinnamon and topped with their own cream cheese frosting) for which they’re known. Called the “Cinnabon Classic,” this cinnamon roll remains the staple of their simple but sugary menu, and is featured in the over 750 individual franchise stores that Cinnabon has across the US.
While the menu remains simple, the Cinnabon Classic has given rise to several variations over the years:
- Its younger sibling, the Minibon, is the same exact recipe in a smaller portion size.
- The Cinnabon Stix offer the same flavor combination in a slightly different form: the dough is shaped into sticks and dusted with cinnamon and sugar, and you have the option of dunking it into cream cheese frosting for the classic “icing” effect.
- Cinnabon Bites come in a small, portable sleeve with six bite-size cinnamon rolls inside. These, too, follow the classic recipe.
- Finally, a souped up (or rather, sugared up) version of the Cinnabon: the Caramel Pecanbon, which is exactly what it sounds like: a warm classic-dough cinnamon roll, topped with warm caramel sauce (instead of just the cream cheese sauce) and sprinkled with crunchy pecans.
Original Cinnabon Beverages have expanded as well. The first is the MochaLatta Chill, a cold chocolate-coffee drink that can be iced or blended and is usually topped with whipped cream. Then there is the Chillatta family of drinks, billed as “refreshingly indulgent” for their blend of rich flavors and blended ice. They come in six flavors: Chocolate Mocha, Caramel, Cappuccino, Tropical Blast, Strawberry, and Strawberry Banana.
Making Healthy Choices: Cinnabon Snacks
As Cinnabon snacks go, the Cinnabon Classic isn’t the least healthy item on the menu, but it is close. The Caramel Pecanbon racks in the most for both calories and fat, with 1100 calories and 47 grams of fat. The Cinnabon Classic itself is second, with 813 calories and 32 grams of fat.
The Minibon, due to its smaller size, delivers the exact same flavor with less than half the fat and calories (339/13 grams), and is the healthiest food choice on the menu. In the middle you find Cinnabon Bites (510/19 grams) and Cinnabon Sticks (410/23 grams, although that’s without the cream cheese dipping sauce).
Making Healthy Choices: Cinnabon Original Beverages
The MochaLatta Chill is the richest beverage on the menu, and accordingly has the highest count for both calories and fat, with 520 calories and 19 grams of fat. As may be expected, the richer-flavored Chillattas follow fairly close behind, with Caramel being the worst (480/18 grams) and Chocolate Mocha almost the same (460/14 grams).
As may also be expected, the fruity flavored Chillatas are on the healthier end of the spectrum, and Tropical Blast is the healthiest of all, with 330 calories and 7 grams of fat. Strawberry has the same calories but a bit more fat (330/11 grams), and surprisingly, the Cappuccino Chillatta is equally as healthy as the strawberry flavor. Strawberry Banana is in the middle with 350 calories and 11 grams of fat.
With these Cinnabon nutrition facts in hand, you’re now equipped to find the foods that give you your own ideal combination of your favorite flavors and your ideal calorie count.
