Nutritional Supplements for Vision Problems

Page content

Vision problems will occur in life as we age. But we can slow it down and prevent it by taking nutritional supplements for vision problems. The most common vision problems related to age are: Needing more light to see clearly and read, glares might begin to appear or the sharpness of shapes might decrease along with the dimming of colors, and difficulty reading fine print.

These are a difficult part of the aging process but we can decrease the amount of symptoms and the severity of them through dietary measures. Our eye health depends greatly on nutrients that are absorbed through our diets. When we don’t get enough of those essential vitamins and minerals our eye health begins to suffer greatly.

Vision Problems

Let’s look at a few of the most common eye problems that many people suffer from.

Cataracts are a condition in which there are cloudy or milky areas on the lens of the eye. This causes reduced night time vision, expanding blurs around lights, and glares tend to be a real issue. Daytime vision will also be increased with age.

Glaucoma is when there is pressure in the eye; the results are poor night vision, or loss of vision in one side or the other and well as blind spots. This can be a serious medical emergency and the vision problem itself can appear over a long period of time or happen rapidly.

Macular degeneration is the loss of, blurred, and distorted vision not to mention a degree of color blindness can also occur.

Presbyopia primarily means the difficulty of focusing on anything close to the eyes.
