Pomegranate is traditionally enjoyed at festivals and holidays in Muslim, Jewish, Indian, and Chinese cultures and has been recognized by these and numerous other cultures throughout the years for it’s amazing nutritious and healing qualities.

Rich in antioxidants, pomegranate contains as much as three times the antioxidants as green tea or red wine! Moreover, some believe it contains greater levels of antioxidants than many other fruits, including blueberries!

Pomegranates contain flavanoids, believed to aid in the prevention of cancer, specifically prostate cancer.

Full of vitamins and minerals, pomegranate is loaded with vitamins C and A, as well as calcium and phosphorus. This combination of vitamins and minerals is believed to aid in reversing many diseases, as well as aid in strengthening the auto-immune system and improve overall health.

Pomegranate is not only rich in history and health benefit, it it also extremely versatile!

Cook it in brown rice for a tangy side dish, crush it onto poultry before cooking for an added sweetness, or add it to your favorite stuffing recipe! Crush it and add it to your fruit juice for an extra zing in the morning, or that added flavor boost in the afternoon. You can even puree it and cook it in cranberry sauce, apple sauce and pies.
