Rutin (aka rutoside, quercetin-3-rutinoside, sophorin) is a bioflavonoid found in plants, fruits, and vegetables. This water soluble compound is found in citrus fruits, black tea, buckwheat, berries, noni, and apple peels. The richest source is from buckwheat. In its purest form rutin is a yellow or yellow green color.
