If you’re an active male athlete, you have probably already had jock itch at some point in your life and you already know how common and annoying it is. It can disrupt your whole life, making each move you make a miserable one. Fortunately, it’s easy to treat jock itch from home with a few simple remedies.

Tea Tree Oil

One popular treatment is use basic tea tree oil. Simply purchase some tea tree oil from your local health food store and apply a thin coating of it directly to the groin area. You should begin to feel relief almost immediately.

Garlic Compress

Another natural cure for jock itch is to make a garlic compress at home. To do this, blend two cloves of garlic together with one cup of olive oil Dip 3 to 4 paper towels into the mixture until they are saturated. Then, apply the paper towels directly to the affected area to ease the itching and pain of jock itch.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been a long time staple for many home remedies. Jock itch is no exception. Just take 3 tablespoons of coconut oil on a daily basis to treat and prevent jock itch. You can find the oil at your local health food store or it can be ordered online.

Oregeno Oil

Oregeno oil has proven to be an effective, if a little painful, cure for jock itch. Before you use the oil, you should cover all other areas that are not to be treated (not broken out) with vaseline to protect them. Put a small amount of the oil on a q-tip and dab it on each sore. Only leave the oregeno oil on for 10 minutes or so or it will start to burn. You can wash it off with regular soap and water. This cure, though, is not for the squeamish.
