Secrets of Very Thin Women: Learn How to Control Your Weight
Heal Your Relationship With Food
Yes, watch food intake, but don’t become so food obsessed that you can’t even attend a social gathering without having a nervous breakdown. Most often, dieters go off the deep end and gorge themselves because they can’t meet the sky high expectations they set for themselves. Instead, be reasonable. Drink water and/or a healthy snack before a party, dining out experience or any other food event you know of that could get in the way of your success. If you want to make healthy food habits that stick for life, you have to behave in a way that you can maintain for life, and that often doesn’t involve 1,000 calorie diets and unreasonable depravation. Just knowing you can eat whatever you want, as long as you watch portion sizes and indulge intelligently, many cravings will go away.
Don’t Coddle Yourself
Thin women don’t tell themselves “You’ve had a bad day, you deserve that chocolate mousse pie.” Very thin women who work hard to lose and maintain their weight do so because they are dedicated, consistent and have discipline. Trust us, they would love to have cheesecake every day just as much as the next girl, but they take responsibility for their actions. They know the Diet Fairy isn’t going to sprinkle magic dust on them overnight that will make the weight magically disappear. You have to earn the right to fit in the clothes you want, and it begins with some tough love: stop feeling sorry for yourself and feeling entitled to putting things into your mouth for comfort. More importantly, take some responsibility and some ownership of your behavior as you try to reach your weight loss goals. You’ll be skinny in no time.
Get Moving!
Very thin women don’t negotiate themselves out of walking the dog or strolling to the mailbox instead of driving. They have a zest for life and naturally want to do these things. “Beach volley ball followed by attacking the waves? Sweet!” The secrets of very thin women is that they embrace life as one opportunity after another to have fun. True, you may not be able to think and act like a skinny girl overnight, so start small. Keep a medicine ball and hula hoop by your computer while you’re at home surfing the Net. At the top of every hour, make yourself do 5 hours of hula hooping then three sets of 10 reps of an exercise of your choice with the medicine ball. (P.S. Even if you can’t hula hoop, trying to figure it out still burns calories.) Some of the biggest accomplishments in life are an accumulation of several small things over a long period of time. Start now and think yourself thin!
