Homemade Facial Masks
All Skin Types
Mix 1/2 tablespoon of yogurt, 1 tablespoon of brewer’s yeast, 1 teaspoon of carrot juice, 1 teaspoon of orange juice, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. If your skin is very dry, add more olive oil. If your skin is very oily, do not add the oil. Apply the mixture to your face, leave it on for 15 minutes, and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Normal Skin
Blend 1 apple with 2 tablespoons of honey. Refrigerate the mixture for 10 minutes. Apply, leave on for 30 minutes, and rinse off with lukewarm water.
Dry Skin
Avocado is an excellent ingredient for a homemade facial mask treating dry skin. Mix equal amounts of mashed avocado and sour cream. Apply, leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse with lukewarm water.
Add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to 4-5 mashed strawberries. These natural ingredients create an exfoliating facial mask that can remove dead cells. Gently rub the mixture, using your fingertips, into your skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes than wash it off with lukewarm water.
Oily Skin
Mash 8-9 strawberries and add 3 tablespoons of honey. Mix, apply, leave on for 10-15 minutes, and rinse off with lukewarm water.
Puree 1/2 cucumber, 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of mint. Refrigerate the mixture for 10 minutes before applying. Leave this facial mask on for 15 minutes than wash it off with warm water. Rinse with cool water.
Combination Skin
Puree 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Apply, leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.
Blemishes
Blend 1 tomato, 1 tablespoon of old-fashioned rolled oats, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to form a thick paste (you may have to add more oats). Apply, leave on for 10 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.
Tightening Facial Mask
Puree 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt, 1 peach, and 1 egg white until smooth. Apply, leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.
Homemade Facial Mask to Soften the Skin
Blend 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, 1 tablespoon of chopped cucumber, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Apply, leave on for 30 minutes, wash off with warm water, and rinse with cold water.
