Build Bigger Arms

Every guy dreams of having a great body to attract women. The guy with the bigger arms always seems to have the hottest girl by his side. There’s something about big arms that can tell girls that you are there to protect and keep them safe. Either that or we think that there is a reason why big arms could mean big success with women. Whether it is true or not is irrelevant, but the question still remains, “How can you get bigger arms?”

To get bigger arms, start with the basics. It’s really very elementary. Start as a neophyte, then work your way up to expert and super great looking guy with the hot girlfriend.

The basics of getting bigger arms is doing exercises and routines that will give you results in the fastest time possible without causing injury. You will need to get the expert advise of a professiona,l otherwise you might be shooting blanks, and not getting anywhere.

Your arm is composed of the triceps and the biceps. To get bigger arms, most guys would focus on their biceps. But did you know that your arm is more triceps than biceps? This means that it would be a good idea to either balance your routines between the two muscle groups, or focus more on your triceps.

One of the most basic arm-building exercises is the standing barbell curl. You can choose either the straight bar or the easy curl bar to do this exercise. The distinct difference between the two is that the easy curl bar is shaped to place more emphasis on your bicep peak. For more arm exercises, visit WebMD.com’s article.

To do the routine, make sure you have your feet firmly planted on the ground, and that you have found your center of gravity. Grab the bar and then begin lifting weights. If this is your first time, never attempt to lift heavy weights. You could injure yourself and be the center of a lot of embarrassment from the guys in the gym. This is not the time to show off.

Settle into your routine. A good 8-12 times is the standard amount of repetition, but don’t push yourself if you are losing your grip, or straining your muscles. Learn to read your body. There is no shame in stopping.

Try not to lock your arms when you are doing the lifts because that can put too much strain on your joints. Keep your back straight and try not to bend forward or backward to accommodate the weight. If you feel any strain on your back, stop and decrease the weight.

On the other hand, if the weight is like lifting a feather to you, stop and increase more weight. There’s no sense in trying to show off because you’ll just be fooling yourself and wasting your time.

Building bigger arms means repeating your routine regularly. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to take water breaks. You need to stay hydrated all the time. You may not be sweating profusely, but you need to water to avoid cramps.

Know your limits. Although getting bigger arms is about repetition, you should never push yourself beyond what you can do. This defeats the purpose, especially if you end up injuring yourself.
