Treats For Your Feet: Learn How to Use the Essential Oils, Peppermint, Eucalyptus & Tea Tree to Naturally Treat Foot Troubles

Peppermint essential oil is used to treat fatigued, swollen and sore feet. Eucalyptus essential oil combined with tea tree essential oil and peppermint are used to disinfect, clean and treat feet affected by althete’s foot. Essential oils are the perfect treat for your feet to keep them healthy.

Essential oils for your feet can be used in a variety of ways. Foot soaks, massages and powders can all be made with essential oils to treat common ailments associated with feet. You will be relieved of problems, yet also be pampering your feet at the same time. Your feet will be soft, smooth and rejuvenated after using the right essential oils for your feet.

Foot Soak

To clean, disinfect and treat athlete’s foot by using a foot soak with essential oils, use this method:

5 drops peppermint essential oil

7-10 drops eucalyptus essential oil

7-10 drops tea tree essential oil

Hot water

Fill up a large bowl or foot tub with hot water. This should be as hot as you can stand it but not scalding. Do not burn yourself. Add essential oils. Mix with hand or feet. Place feet in water and keep there until the water cools. Pat feet dry when done.

Soothe Foot Aches

To revitalize feet in a foot soak just add 10 drops of peppermint essential oil to a foot tub full of hot water. This will also help ease swollen ankles and relieve tired feet. You can also add 5-7 drops of peppermint essential oil to unscented lotion then apply to feet using gentle massage movements.

Powder for Athlete’s Foot

To make an essential oil powder for athlete’s foot use this method:

In a ziplock baggy, take 1/3 cup of cornstarch and add 5-7 drops of peppermint essential oil. Zip bag closed and shake well. Open and add 5-7 drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Zip closed and shake again. Open and add 5 drops of oregano essential oil (this essential oil is powerful in combating toenail fungus). Zip closed and shake again. Pour powdered mix into a empty shaker (you can get these at food stores, craft stores or reuse empty spice jars that have been cleaned out). Shake powder mix directly onto feet, in shoes or in socks before a busy day.

Using these methods once a week will help your feet remain healthy and pampered.
