About Arby’s Restaurants

Arby’s is a unique fast food restaurant because of the fact that they have one-of-a-kind menu items and not the typical hamburger choices you’ll find at other fast food joints. In 2009, Arby’s employed 67,500 employees and Nelson Peltz, the current Chairman, earns a salary of 700,000 per year. The very first Arby’s restaurant was opened on July 23, 1964 in Boardman, Ohio by Leroy and Forrest Raffel. According to Arby’s.com, “Arby’s Restaurant Group currently owns and operates over 1,000 restaurants located in the United States.

In 2005, Arby’s came up with the “I’m Thinking Arby’s” campaign because of their “high quality, unique products not typically found in fast food.” Their thoughts were that if people are thinking of Arby’s, they won’t be thinking about any other kind of fast food.
