Cover and let steep for about fifteen minutes. For colds and the flu, make a tea blend of equal parts yarrow, elder flowers, lemon balm and mint. Drink two cups of this tea for quick relief.

To stimulate circulation and fortify the heart you can make yarrow wine by placing three fourths cup each of dried yarrow, lemon balm leaves and hawthorn flowers or berries plus one cinnamon stick in one quart of red wine. Allow this to steep for three weeks and strain. Drink one glass of wine per day.

To strengthen weak veins, make a tea with equal parts yarrow and either calendula or hawthorn flowers and steep in one cup boiling water. Drink three cups daily.
