When the liver is metabolizing fat at an optimal level and the kidneys are flushing it out of your system as they should, you'll experience faster, more efficient fat loss. People who don't drink enough water slow down this process because the kidneys can't work to remove all the toxins from the body, which means the liver has to pitch in and help. This means that fat isn't metabolized as well as it should be and isn't removed as quickly from the body. So be sure and drink half of your body weight in water each day. If you weigh 150 lbs, this would be 75 ounces of water a day.

(500 per day X 7 days = 3500 calories, or 1 pound of fat) Cut 250 calories a day and burn 250 calories through cardiovascular exercise and there you have it: 500 calories. Cutting 250 calories a day is really pretty easy. You don't have to go out and purchase that latest diet. Just cut out a few unhealthy snacks and replace them with healthier options. For example, one 16 ounce Coke has 200 calories. If you drink 2 of these a day, cutting them out could be all you need! Replacing soft drinks with ice water and a refreshing lemon slice is a great start. Air popped popcorn in place of deep-fried potato chips is another good move. Also be sure your diet includes plenty of fruits and veggies. If yours is lacking, snack on carrot or celery sticks and apple slices to fulfill that craving for extra crunchy snacks. Also, make sure to eat every 3 hours to keep your metabolism at its most efficient.
