For this remedy for gout, rose hips need to be added to the vinegar and boiled. Apply the mixture on the affected area as much as it is needed. It helps to change the pH levels in the blood and excrete the crystallized uric acid.

    Castor Oil

    Castor oil packs can relieve the symptoms of gout as well. Using a piece of white flannel, soak the flannel in warm castor oil. Apply the damp flannel to the affected area and cover it with plastic. Apply a heating pad to the wrap for one hour. This can be done twice a day to relieve the symptoms of gout.

    Remedies for gout also include the use of devil’s claw. This can be taken as a dried extract to acquire the benefits. The devil’s claw reduces the amount of uric acid within the body. It acts as a naturally cleaning agent and removes any impurities.

    Red clover is used in the treatment of gout because it can also remove toxins from the body. It is one of the most standard remedies used for treating gout. However, it should be used with caution because it may thin blood. Only use red clover after consulting a doctor.
